Who Are We

We are a locally and Independently Owned Company

I'm Roy Cunning and I'm president and owner of Home Again Inspections. As a certified member of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI), my number 1 job is to ensure that your new home is safe for you and your family. I also guarantee that you will be treated with the professionalism and respect that you deserve.

What is InterNACHI?

I get this question asked on many occasions, so let me take the time to explain. The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI) is the world’s most elite, non-profit inspection association. InterNACHI is the largest home inspection association in the world, with more than 12,000 members located in all 50 states, eight Canadian provinces, and 32,400 other members in some 65 other countries.

What is required to become an InterNACHI inspector?
Inspectors are required to successfully pass an InterNACHI’s Inspector Examination, take a Standards of Practice Quiz, complete a Code of Ethics Course as well as to adhere to Standards of Practice. I am also required to continue education courses to keep my license. So rest assured that you're in good hands with an InterNACHI inspector.

If you’d like to hear more about InterNACHI and my qualifications as a certified home inspector or have any question about my home inspection services or would like to set up an appointment, please don’t hesitate to give me a call at 709-638-3886 or email me at roy@homeagaininspections.com

"Choosing the right home inspector can be confusing. Different inspectors have varying qualifications, equipment, experience, reporting methods, and pricing. This can be overwhelming for first time home buyers and I understand their frustration. Ultimately, a thorough inspection depends heavily on the individual inspector’s effort. Let me take the fear out of the process and if you honour me by permitting me to inspect your new home, I guarantee that you will be treated with the professionalism that you deserve. This is my promise to you.."
Roy Cunning - Home and Commercial Inspector

Why Do Home Inspections?

Buying a home could be the largest single investment you will ever make. To minimize unpleasant surprises and unexpected difficulties, you’ll want to learn as much as you can about the newly constructed or existing house before you buy it. A home inspection may identify the need for major repairs or builder oversights, as well as the need for maintenance to keep your home in good shape. After the inspection, you will know more about the house you're looking to buy, which will allow you to make your decision with confidence. If you already are a homeowner, a home inspection can identify problems in the making and suggest preventive measures that might help you avoid costly future repairs.

Your roof is one of the most important and most expensive  component of your home. Leaky roofs, old shingles, defective vents and drains can all lead to thousands of dollars in damage to your home.  Our inspection goes through your roof with a fine-tooth comb to find any possible deficiencies.

Let's face it, leaky pipes and broken furnaces in the month of December can spell disaster! My home inspection verifies the age and condition of your water tank and furnace to identify if they need to be replaced. I'll also inspect the age and material used in your pipes and confirm that your drains are working right.

This can be the most expesive deficiency of your potential new home. I'll be able to distinguish between the safe cracks and the dangerous ones. I'll look for previous water damage and if mold is lurking in your home

Older homes may have defective wiring that can lead to major problems. Let me inspect your home's wiring, electrical panel and isolation to make sure your home is safe.
